This design is common on most trucks, SUVs, and newer cars (2010+). Most Chevy, Ford, and Ram truck rear bearings are bolt-on. Many newer FWD cars use them for the front wheels too.

Step-by-Step: Bolt-On Hub Assembly (Front)
1. Loosen the axle nut first With the tire still on the ground, break loose the center axle nut — it's typically torqued 180–240 ft-lbs. Put the car in park (or first gear), brake on, and use the breaker bar before jacking up the car.
2. Jack up the vehicle and support on stands Never work under a vehicle supported only by a floor jack.

Front bearings are more involved because the axle shaft runs through them on FWD and AWD vehicles. You need to disconnect the axle nut and manage the CV axle.
Rear bearings on FWD vehicles are much simpler — there's no drive axle. Many rear hubs just unbolt. On RWD vehicles with solid rear axles, the bearing sits inside the axle housing and requires a slide-hammer puller.
