Regenerative braking does the heavy lifting on deceleration. In a Prius or Camry Hybrid, rear brake pads can last 80,000–120,000 miles. Front pads last longer than in a comparable gas car too — typically 50,000–80,000 miles depending on driving style.
Interval: Inspect every 20,000 miles. Replace when worn to 3mm or less.
Starter Motor
Hybrids don't have a traditional starter motor. The electric motor handles starting duty. One fewer wear component to worry about.
Alternator
Hybrids don't have a conventional alternator either — the generator function is built into the electric motor/generator unit. No alternator replacement needed.
Transmission Service (CVT/eCVT)
The Toyota Hybrid Synergy Drive uses an electronically controlled continuously variable transmission (eCVT) that Toyota rates as "lifetime fluid" in many markets. HV Battery Cooling System

Inverter Coolant
