  • Rear of rim to string: 3.25"
  • Difference: 0.25" → this wheel has 0.25" of toe-out

Compare both sides. Total front toe = sum of both sides' individual toe. Factory spec is typically total toe-in of 1/16" to 3/16" (about 0.06" to 0.19" total).

Adjustment

Toe is adjusted via the tie rod ends. Rotating the tie rod adjusting sleeve (or inner tie rod on rack-and-pinion) lengthens or shortens the tie rod, moving the wheel toward or away from toe-in.

Caution: This changes alignment — always recheck after adjustment and get a professional alignment to confirm specs.


DIY Camber Check: Digital Gauge Method

  1. Remove the wheel center cap if it blocks the hub face
  2. Clean the face of the rotor hub (where the gauge attaches)
  3. Zero the digital gauge on a flat floor
  4. Hold the gauge flat against the rotor hub face
  5. Read the camber angle
